Associate Director, Rhythm & Soul (Urban) - ASCAP

Cristina Chavez, Associate Director at the world’s leading membership association for songwriters, composers and music publishers; ASCAP. Young but well seasoned in the entertainment industry, Cristina has 10+ years of experience in music and television. She started off in Marketing and Promotion at KMEL Radio in her hometown of San Francisco. Testing the waters, Cristina left San Francisco for NYC and had a stint in Public Relations and Talent at BET. Music wasn’t quite done with her though. Following her calling, Cristina found herself running BET’s Music Matters campaign; curating tours, managing live events, managing album compilations, building relationships, building partnerships and pulling in sponsorships. It's safe to say Cristina is well past her 10,000 hours.
