BRIAN CABBY
Audio Engineer

Brian Cabby is an engineer at the prestigious Pressure Point Recording Studios in Chicago. His goal as an engineer is to help artists and producers realize their vision in the form of making great sounding records. "I didn't get into this industry to make money. If it comes along with the territory great, but I am here to help artists realize and capture their dream to the very best of our abilities." Brian got a start in his musical training at an early age. With uncles and friends in bands, he learned tuning and musical theory, how gear is set up, and live sound application. In college, Brian ventured out as a house D.J. quickly gaining notoriety around the United States as an up and coming artist.

Under the alias "The Phunkie Decknicians" this D.J. career lead him to gig in such areas as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, New York, Chicago and Montreal to name a few. He also got many requests to play those funky house rhythms in Europe. But this wasn't enough. He always wanted to "work on the other side of the glass," engineering and mixing records. So, Brian decided to go back to school to finish his studies as an audio engineer. Soon after, he landed an internship in Chicago at Pressure Point. An understudy of Larry Sturm, Brian has quickly learned what it takes to be a great, in demand engineer. "He taught me so much in terms of recording and mixing skills, that I definitely wouldn't have learned in a classroom, much less anywhere else, which helps me obtain my own specific sound." Having worked with such artists as Timbaland, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, YG, Tink, Zaramela, among many others, Brian has honed his skills in a variety of different styles of music, and strives to be one of the best young and fresh sounding engineers in the field today.
